Larry Weatherford (prclew@langate.gsu.edu) serves as Consultant at the Usery Center developing proposals and obtaining financial support for workplace projects from the U. S. Department of Labor, as well as individual states in the Department of Labor Southeastern Region. 

Larry served as Vice President, Government Relations, at the University of Georgia, developing legislative strategies designed to obtain public funding for the University of Georgia.  He also served as Associate Vice President, Development and University Relations, being responsible for the day-to-day administrative management of the University’s institutional advance programs. 

Larry has served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Labor for Employment and Training in Washington, D. C. and as Administrator of the national Unemployment Insurance Service.  After coming to Atlanta, he served as Regional Administrator for the Employment and Training Administration, U. S. Department of Labor, exercising full delegation of decision-making authority for Federal program management and administration of multi-billion dollar contracts and grants.
