Judy Archer (judyarcher@gsu.edu) serves as Associate to the Director of the Usery Center.  In this capacity,  Judy works closely with the Executive Director, Richard Barnes, in carrying out the responsibilities of the Office of the Executive Director.      On behalf of the Usery Center, she works in close concert with staff of Georgia State University.   

Judy comes to the Usery Center after serving 25 years with the Employment and Training Administration, U. S. Department of Labor, as Management Assistant and Accounting Technician.  Her last responsibility at the Department of Labor was that of Assistant to the Financial Manager whose responsibility it was to issue funds to the eight states in the Southeastern Region  for the administration of the Employment Service program, Unemployment Insurance program, and Job Corps program.  Judy retired in 1997 from Federal service. 

Judy also served from 1971 to 1975 as secretary to the President’s Cabinet Representative (Secretarial Representative) for the Department of Transportation in Atlanta.  In this position she served as liaison for the Secretarial Representative and all transportation agencies in the Southeastern Region to insure proper communication and coordination of intermodal transportation programs.
